On September 11, we pause to remember the lives taken too soon, honor the heroes who answered the call, and stand with the families who continue to carry their loss.

Twenty five years later, we remain united in remembrance and resolve: We will never forget. 🇺🇸

I’m proud to have been recognized by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) for my 2026 legislative record supporting policies that strengthen Connecticut’s business community and economy.

I am honored to be named an “Affordability Champion” for supporting policies aimed at addressing the high cost of living and doing business in our state. Throughout my time in the legislature, I have worked to make Connecticut a more affordable and competitive place for families, employers, and small businesses.

It was great to join Vista Life Inovations at The Kate - Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook to celebrate the Vista Class of 2026! 🎓

Vista provides a lifelong program empowering adults with disabilities to achieve greater independence, personal success, and a sense of belonging along the Connecticut shoreline. Today’s ceremony was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of Jimmy, Nikita, Kaitlin, Jack, Dave, and Maya.

Congratulations to each of this year’s graduates and to the families, educators, staff, and supporters who helped them reach this milestone. Wishing the entire Class of 2026 continued success!

Connecticut’s Sales Tax-Free Week is here! 🛍️

From August 16–22, most clothing and footwear priced under $100 per item will be exempt from Connecticut’s sales tax. It’s a great opportunity to save on back-to-school shopping while supporting local businesses in our community!

When I first got elected in 2014, all the newbies were invited to the governor’s mansion for a holiday breakfast and Nancy Wyman made a point of welcoming everyone and making everyone feel important - regardless of party. She always did that.

She was an extremely positive force in the Capitol and for the state. She treated people with kindness and grace no matter who they were or what side they were on. We need more people like her in politics today.

Rest in peace to a true Connecticut legend and my condolences to her whole family.
