🎶 Big Band Music & Big Smiles! 🎺🎷

We were thrilled to welcome back the one and only “Grumpy Old Men” for an afternoon filled with toe-tapping tunes, timeless classics, and wonderful memories! 🎵 Their lively big band music had our residents smiling, reminiscing, and enjoying every note. There’s nothing quite like the power of music to bring people together!

🍬 Help Us Fill the HalloweenCandy Drop Box! 🎃

Norseland is collecting candy donations for our upcoming collaborative trick-or-treating event with Westby Elementary on Thursday, October 29th!

Interested in donating Halloween Candy for residents to hand out? You can drop off bags of individually wrapped candy in the donation box at the Norseland front desk.

📸 Photography Project: Celebrating the Stories, Memories & Beauty of Aging at Norseland 📸

On October 15, Norseland is partnering with Elizabeth Carpenter Photography for a special resident photography project designed to capture the people behind the pictures. We’ll be taking photographs of residents with meaningful items, loved ones, hobbies, and other things that represent their lives, experiences, and interests.

These photographs will become part of our ongoing updates to the halls and nurses’ stations, creating meaningful displays that celebrate the individuals who make up our Norseland community.

Families are encouraged to bring in items that help tell their loved one’s story, such as family photos, military items, handmade crafts or quilts, heirlooms, awards, favorite books, musical instruments, hobby items, career-related items, or other sentimental keepsakes. Items do not need to be valuable; what matters is the story behind them.

Participation is voluntary, and consent will be obtained before photographs are taken.

❤️🏈 Happy Homecoming Week! 🏈❤️

We had a wonderful time celebrating Westby Homecoming! Residents kicked off the festivities by getting creative and making homemade signs to show their Norsemen pride and spread some Homecoming cheer. ❤️🤍

On Homecoming morning, we welcomed the Westby Pep Band for a special outdoor performance at our front entrance. The music and school spirit were the perfect way to get everyone excited for the day! 🎶

Later, residents loaded up in our accessible UTV and headed out to enjoy the Homecoming Parade, proudly displaying their handmade signs and cheering along the parade route.

It was a fun-filled celebration with plenty of Norsemen spirit, wonderful memories, and lots of smiles!

A little creativity and a whole lot of fall fun! 🍂🎨

A big thank you to Brushstrokes with Barbara for leading a wonderful step-by-step painting class for our residents today! Everyone had the opportunity to create their very own scarecrow door hanger, adding their own unique touches along the way. It was so much fun watching everyone’s creativity shine through! Lots of smiles, laughter, and beautiful fall creations made for a wonderful afternoon! 🍁🧡

We hope everyone enjoyed their time at the Vernon County Fair this past weekend! 🎡🎟️

In addition to our earlier celebration with Vernon County’s Fairest of the Fair and carnival-themed bingo, residents continued the fair festivities with a delicious popcorn treat and a friendly competition of Pin the Tail on the Donkey! 🍿🐴

Laughter and smiles were plentiful! What a fun way to celebrate this wonderful community event and bring a little fair excitement to Norseland! ❤️

🎪🎟️ Carnival Bingo at Norseland! 🎟️🎪

Our residents had a wonderful afternoon playing carnival-themed bingo with two very special guests—Vernon County’s Fairest of the Fair, Brie and Fairest of the Fair Advisor, Angie Hornby! 👑✨

There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and BINGOs to go around! A big thank you to Brie & Angie for spending time with our residents and helping make the afternoon extra special. ❤️
