On Tuesday, September 15th, Ferreria Construction will be performing work on behalf of the Town of Westerly at 154 Main St. It is our intention to maintain a single lane of traffic at all times, as well as access to the businesses in the nearby area, if a shut down is needed, please follow the detour that will be provided.

Good Morning. As a reminder, we appreciate the communities cooperation with the odd/even water ban. This is in effect until further notice.

A message from the Town of Westerly:
The total ban on residential outdoor water use has been lifted. However, an odd / even ban will remain in effect. This means that if your address is an odd number, you may use your outdoor water on odd calendar days and if your address is an even number, you may use your outdoor water on even calendar days. For example, today is July 6th so addresses ending in an even number may use your outdoor water today. Anyone found to be in violation will be subject to fines and penalties. We appreciate your understanding over the past few days and thank you for your continued cooperation while this ban is in effect

UPDATE

The water pressure within our system is beginning to recover. As a result, the pressure within residential systems will gradually increase, which may result in cloudy water. If the water from your indoor faucet is cloudy, please run it until clear before using. There is no need to boil before use. The outdoor water ban remains in effect until further notice. Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Emergency Water Ban officially in effect

This is a message from the Town of Westerly:

Effective immediately, the Town of Westerly is enacting an emergency water ban prohibiting the use of all residential outdoor water use. This action is a result of recent drought conditions combined with increased water use due to the extreme heat. Prohibited activities include the watering of lawns, filling of pools, and washing of vehicles, homes or decks. The Town is asking all residents and visitors for their cooperation in this effort to restore critical water levels within our system. Town staff will be monitoring all areas of Town to identify any violations of this ban. Those found to be in violation will be subject to penalties and fines. This ban will be in effect until further notice, and updates will be available on the Town of Westerly page, website, and through the newsflash notification system. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
