What a great night at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven! Loved seeing Girl Named Tom, the sibling trio who made history as the first group to win The Voice, perform alongside the incredible Vitamin String Quartet, known for their beautiful string arrangements featured in Bridgerton.

Such a fun combination of talent and music. An amazing show!🎼

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the survivors, support the families affected, and remember those we have lost. I want to thank Dr. Blue for joining me at L&M hospital to spread the word.

In Hartford, I’ve worked to expand insurance coverage for mammograms and other early detection screenings because catching cancer early can save lives. I’m proud to have championed these efforts to make preventive care more accessible and ensure more people have the opportunity to detect cancer early and get the care they need.

We must continue investing in prevention, supporting those facing this disease, and advancing the research that brings us closer to a cure. 💗

Congratulations to Griswold Middle School student Ava Tackett, whose winning theme, “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.”, was selected as the 2026 National Red Ribbon Week theme!

I was happy to join the Griswold PRIDE Coalition, Representative Brian Lanoue, and local leaders to recognize Ava, her family, Kristen Butremovic, and the Griswold Middle School team for this incredible achievement.

What a wonderful accomplishment for Ava and the entire Griswold community! Congratulations to everyone involved!

It’s that time of year again! 🎃🍂

One of my favorite fall traditions is stopping by Whittle's Willow Spring Farm to pick out pumpkins! There’s nothing better than supporting our local farms and enjoying everything they bring to our community.

Be sure to stop by and get your pumpkins this season! Mako certainly enjoyed his visit! 🦈🧡

50 years ago today, the USS Groton was launched right here in the Submarine Capital of the World! 🇺🇸

It was wonderful to celebrate this milestone at today’s groundbreaking of the USS Groton Sail Monument. What a special tribute to our submariners, shipbuilders, veterans, and the families who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to bring this piece of Groton’s history home!

Such a fun morning at Mary Morrisson Elementary School! 🐄🎃🍎

I loved stopping by the Mini Farm for CT Grown for CT Kids Week and seeing our Pre-K students get a hands-on introduction to Connecticut agriculture. From meeting the farm animals and picking out pumpkins to trying local apple c***r and yogurt, there was so much for the kids to explore.

A big thank you to Groton Public Schools Food Services and the Farm to School team for putting together such a great experience and helping our youngest students learn where their food comes from! 🌱🚜
