🤷🏻‍♀️ Better late than never!

Our Library doesn't charge daily late fines, which means you don't have to stress about returning your book a few days over! The only time we charge for an item is if it is damaged, extremely late (past 45 days), or never returned.

🧩 On October 10, we crowned our first back-to-back winners as the Fairlane Friends took the crown once again at our Jigsaw Puzzle Competition!

6 teams took on the challenge of completing a 500 piece puzzle the fastest with the winner taking home a set of mini puzzles for each member. No one walked away empty handed as teams got to take the 500 piece puzzle home afterwards!

It's National Friends of Libraries Week, and we're taking the time to celebrate the incredible work the Friends of the Westland Public Library put in year after year.

The Friends of the Westland Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for the Library. From processing and sorting incoming donations that go towards stocking our lobby's Friends' Shop or organizing the large quarterly book sales you see over the year, the Friends organization provides a lot of funding that goes toward our library programs.

If you'd like to volunteer and sign-up for the Friends organization, you can get more info about the organization at westlandlibrary.org/friends . Keep an eye out for their upcoming Book Sale as well, happening from November 19 – 22.
