LAKE Willoughby

This was my families cottage in 1958 to 1976 when my Mom passed away. It was sold to a family of Watertown, MA till the present as far as I know. Perhaps they will comment on here about this. My family was from Waltham, MA. I am writing this 2023. I started this Lake Willoughby page many years ago wanting to be in touch with those that wanted to share their memories. Marilyn Gagnon and I write as LAKE Willoughby. I am now 85.

Winter at Willoughby..

I came to Lake Willoughby when I was 7 with my parents and older sister. We stayed at the Willoughby Farms on the road that just is before the hill to the Hilltop Store if anyone remembers it. I think it stayed in business under new owners for many years. Do not know about present times. All on 5A. After many years renting from Harriet and Ted Fish at Willoughby Farms, my parents bought the cottage here on the old 5A when I was about 13. The story goes on there for many years. Till I was married 1961, age 23 and we had our family. My Mom passed away that year in 1976, and we had to sell our wonderful place. My Dad could not go and stay alone, so that was the end of our wonderful times at Lake Willoughby. Now new owners took it over, 1967. They also were from MA. I write as Lake Willoughby as I started this page so many years ago now. Marilyn Raymond Gagnon, Lake Willoughby author. I am now 85.
