🇺🇸Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸

We hope you all have a fun and safe day on this historic 4th of July!

Here is your yearly reminder to use extra caution and take an extra few seconds at rural intersections surrounded by corn. As the corn gets taller, the dangers of accidents at these intersections dramatically increase. You can’t see what’s coming, and what’s coming can’t see you. Stay diligent, and stay safe!

Holy smokes, what a weekend!

The Weston 150 celebration was a success and packed with so many events! It was exciting to see so many people enjoying the festivities.

First of all, our hats are off to the Weston 150 committee. The countless hours of planning, organizing, strategizing, and volunteering over the last two years resulted in an awesome weekend. None of this would have been possible without all of their incredibly hard work. Thank you all!

We also had a great time with our department events!

🏃‍♀️Troy to Troy🏃‍➡️
The first annual Trot to Troy was a fun way to highlight the earliest roots of Weston. Despite an early morning thunderstorm delaying the race, we had many runners brave the rain and run anyway!
1 mile race:
🥇1st place: Waylon Maly
🥈2nd place: Liz Tvrdy
🥉3rd place: Dorothy Smith
5K race:
🥇1st place: Jim Walla
🥈2nd place: Sylvia Mahrous
🥉3rd place: Tenley Berggren
8 mile race:
🥇1st place: Tori Hilger-Herman
🥈2nd place: Adam Pomajzl
🥉3rd place: Jake Herman

🏆Co****le Tournament🏆
The Bohunk Baggers put on another awesome event. Check out their page for the results as well as their upcoming events!

🥞Pancake Feed🥞
We had an amazing turnout for the pancake breakfast! It was awesome to see everyone who came and enjoyed some breakfast made by some very amateur firefighter chefs.😉

👨‍🚒Water Fights👩🏼‍🚒
We had a blast hosting water fights! Thank you to all of the area departments that came with teams ready for some friendly competition!

Thank you to our department members who dedicated so much time to helping these events run smoothly this weekend. Your hours, early mornings, and willingness to jump in are so appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our events and in the whole weekend. Getting to spend a couple days celebrating our own village was so much fun.
