Out of an abundance of caution due to a domestic situation in our community, Roanoke Elementary School and Robert L Bland middle school were placed on a precautionary lockdown. That situation has been resolved, and our schools have returned to normal schedule. There was never any danger to our students or staff and we’d like to thank the Lewis County 911 center and our first responders for their quick response, professionalism and assistance. Thank you.
