We are very sad to lose a great person who has done so much for our community. RIP
đź–¤ IN LOVING MEMORY OF HOUSTON WHITFIELD đź–¤
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that Gulf County EMS shares the passing of our former Director and a founding member of the Wewa Ambulance Service, Mr. Houston Whitfield.
Some people leave behind more than a legacy of service. They leave behind a lasting impact on the people they led, the lives they touched, and the community they loved. Houston was one of those people.
Throughout his years of dedicated service to Gulf County EMS, Houston was more than a director. He was a leader, a mentor, a friend, and a valued member of the EMS family. His commitment to serving others and his love for this profession helped shape the department and the people who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Houston retired from Gulf County EMS several years ago, but his contributions and the impact of his service will continue to live on through those who follow in his footsteps.
To Houston’s family, friends, former coworkers, and all who knew and loved him, we extend our deepest condolences. We ask that our community join us in lifting his family up in prayer during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Houston. Your shift is complete, your duty is done, and your legacy will live on.
Thank you for your service, your leadership, and the years you devoted to Gulf County.
With love and respect,
Your Gulf County EMS Family 🕊️
