We’re just TWO DAYS away from the 2026 North Hills First Responders Softball Tournament!
This weekend, local Police, Fire, and EMS are trading badges for bats. Expect some pulled hamstrings and tons of inter-department trash talk! But beneath the rivalry, we’re stepping up to the plate for something much bigger.
This year, all proceeds support three incredible first responder families facing unimaginable challenges:
💙 Family of Late Sgt. Todd Heufelder (North Fayette PD)
A 30-year veteran, K-9 program founder, and dedicated family man. We’re playing to support his wife and two kids, honoring his legacy of selfless service and infectious humor.
💙 Officer Gregg Renko & Family (Allegheny County PD)
An Army combat medic who shockingly discovered he had cancer while undergoing testing to donate his kidney to a friend. We’re rallying for Gregg, his wife, and their 3 kids (his youngest turns 7 on opening day!).
💙 Officer Joshua Covert & Family (Union Township PD)
A 15-year veteran who has always been there for his community. Now it’s our turn to support his family and his sweet 7-year-old daughter, Angelica, who is bravely battling a rare pediatric brain tumor (DIPG).
