Keep moving. Keep improving. Keep leading.
The weekend is earned — the standard remains.

This week, we were honored to host U.S. Army Cadet Command’s Deputy Commanding Officer. He joined us for PT, observed a cadet-led training meeting, and spoke with cadets about improving the ROTC experience.

His message centered on teamwork and heart. Physical fitness and intellect are important, but individual excellence means little if the team fails. Use your strengths to help others succeed—
and no matter the challenge, don’t quit. Give it everything you have.

“LET’S ROLL”

The Rolling Thunder Battalion motto, “Let’s Roll,” honors Wheaton alumnus Todd Beamer and reminds Cadets and cadre to live the Army Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.

Stand ready. Choose courage. Serve with honor. Lead the way. Let’s Roll.

Sept 11, 2001, Todd Beamer, a Wheaton College student and basketball player, was on United flight 93 when the plane got hijacked.

Proud moment for Rolling Thunder! ⚡🏈

CDT William Diamond completed 1st Regiment Basic Camp at Fort Knox and earned the Mission: POW-MIA Character & Courage Award for exemplifying leadership, selflessness, and fortitude.

Taking the same grit and determination from the football field to Army ROTC. 🇺🇸

As part of Wheaton College’s Freshman Orientation, we hosted our Cadet & Family Welcome Luncheon—good food, new faces, and a chance for our incoming Cadets and their families to meet the team.

Most importantly, we’re getting ahead of the mission: answering all the parents’ questions!

Welcome to the Rolling Thunder Battalion! ⚡

Cadet Houser is our first Air Assault graduate of the summer.

Tired. Exhausted. Countless hours of studying, training, and pushing through adversity. But he did it.

We couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishment and the determination he displayed every step of the way.

Air Assault School isn’t given—it’s earned.

The question is: What’s it going to take for you?

Earlier this week, we commissioned our Wheaton Cadets into the ranks of the United States Army as Second Lieutenants. We are tremendously proud of their growth from the day they first stepped into our halls to this moment.

We were also honored to have distinguished guests join us for this milestone event, including Dr. Bryan McGraw, Dean of Social Sciences, Wheaton College, as well as ROTC and Wheaton College alumni Brigadier General Swanson and Colonel Adams. Their presence made the occasion even more meaningful for our cadets, families, and cadre.

We look forward to seeing the impact these new officers will have on their Soldiers, units, and the Army as they begin the next chapter of leadership and service.
Job well done — but the mission has just begun. Tighten up your boots and… “Let’s Roll.” 🇺🇸
