Northern Panhandle Veterans Council

10/09/2026

For anyone looking for a way to help veterans, the Veterans Council is a great option. We have done so many great things, such as getting $200,000 for su***de for Helping Heroes, created a one of a kind veteran resource guide, hosted many meetings with area political candidates, and have done so much advocacy. We’re looking for some like minded people to join our cause. We are meeting at Helping Heroes at 6:00 on October 28th. Address is 41 22nd Street in Wheeling. You can just show up. Hope to see some of you then.

We are looking for some forward thinking g veterans to join our council. We have accomplished so much over the years and wil continue to do so moving forward. There are so many things happening at the local, state, and federal level, many going unchecked. We are here to fight for our local veterans. Email [email protected] if you are interested.

The Council is looking for some new members. This is a great way to serve our veterans at several levels. We were responsible for getting funding for Helping Heroes to hire a su***de prevention worker, hosting meet and greet for candidates prior to general election, meet with politicians and fight for legislation, and support local veteran events. So much more. You can contact us here or email [email protected]. We meet the last Wednesday of the month for about an hour. Great way to serve.
