Reminder that library services will be impacted from Friday, October 16 at 9 pm-Tuesday, October 20 as we bring the Wauconda and Rolling Meadows libraries into the CCS catalog!

⚠️ While we work on this upgrade, please note the following:

ACCOUNT
• Online accounts will be unavailable. No holds can be made online or in-person during the transition.
• Bring your physical library card to check out materials. Members will not be able to use the digital library card on the library app, and staff will not be able to look members up without a physical card.
• E-resources will be available inside the building. Many will not be available remotely. We do not know which will or will not work during this transition.
• Due dates will be extended. Materials check-in process will begin on Tuesday, October 20.

STUDY ROOMS
• Study rooms will be first-come, first-serve on October 17-18.
• Study rooms will be closed for refurbishment October 19-20. They will reopen on October 21 at 9 am.

Stop by our "Let Books Be" activity table on the second floor in Adult Services for Banned Books Week! Work on a banned book puzzle, take a pin, check out a book that has been banned or challenged, and learn more about Banned Books Week.

Exciting news! Rolling Meadows and Wauconda libraries are joining the CCS consortium, which means their collection will be rolled in with the existing catalog, bringing the full collection up to 5,510,000 items for all of us to share between libraries.

Partnering to promote early literacy! 📚

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is proud to partner with Indian Trails Public Library on Early Literacy Nights, helping local children and families discover the joy of books, learning, and reading together. Pictured here are BG Rotartians Dennis, Bruce, and Jing at one of the first Early Literacy Nights of the new school year.

We’re grateful to the Indian Trails Library for creating these opportunities and to everyone who helps make them possible. Together, we’re investing in young readers and creating a stronger community, one book at a time!

One Book One Community (OBOC) is a partnership among Cook Memorial, Indian Trails and Vernon Area public libraries to bring a community read to the residents we serve. Through OBOC, we seek to encourage conversations around the themes of the selected book in hopes we may come to better understand ourselves and others.
