A new activity, hobby, class, or experience can help young people discover strengths they didn't know they had.

There are many ways to make a difference in the life of a young person, and sometimes it starts with simply giving your time.

Volunteers help provide experiences, encouragement, and opportunities for the boys in our care. If you're interested in learning more about getting involved, we'd love to hear from you.

Growing up means learning to make choices and understanding that choices have consequences.

Helping young people think through their options, consider the impact of their decisions, and learn from their experiences is an important part of preparing them for independence.

Happy Boss’s Day, Joe Platt!

Today we’re celebrating Joe and the way he leads St. John’s Home for Children.

Joe takes care of so much behind the scenes, but what stands out most is the genuine care he has for our boys and for every member of our team. His leadership helps make St. John’s a place where people feel supported and valued.

Simply put, he is the best. Thank you, Joe, for all you do.

Every young person deserves opportunities to learn, explore, and discover what they're capable of.

Donations help provide the resources, activities, and experiences that make those opportunities possible for the boys in our care.

Your generosity can help open the door to something new.

A Special Day with the Eagleriders

Our boys enjoyed a wonderful day picking out new coats with support from our friends at the Eagleriders.

We’re grateful for the way the Eagleriders continue to remember our boys and show up for St. John’s. Their ongoing kindness is one example of the community support that helps make days like this possible.

Thank you to the Eagleriders for thinking of our boys and being part of the St. John’s family.

Mental health is an important part of overall well-being.

Creating an environment where young people can talk about their feelings, ask for help, and know they're supported can make a meaningful difference.

This World Mental Health Day, let's continue making space for honest conversations and connection.

Leadership isn't always about being the loudest person in the room.

It's about taking responsibility, making thoughtful choices, helping others, and being willing to step up when it matters. These are skills that can serve young people long after they leave our care.

A Busy Weekend at St. John’s

Our boys have been making the most of their weekends with plenty of fun and new experiences.

From celebrating a special birthday party provided by our friends at The Bearded Brothers to getting into the Halloween spirit with a visit to the Wells Township Haunted House, there has been no shortage of excitement.

We’re grateful to the people and organizations in our community who continue to create special experiences and lasting memories for our boys.
