Join us for a volunteer event! Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at White Center Heights Park, 10208 7th Ave SW.

Come volunteer with King County Executive Girmay Zahilay at the King County Volunteer Program’s inaugural Regional Day of Service. On Saturday, October 17th, we’ll be bringing volunteers to Duwamish Alive! -- a biannual event hosted by the Duwamish Alive Coalition for the last 20 years to improve the health of the Duwamish watershed through collaborative stewardship and volunteering.

The Executive and Duwamish Alive leadership will kick off the event at the White Center Heights Park, hosted by King County Parks. Then we’ll be planting native trees, removing blackberry and ivy, and spreading mulch. Come volunteer alongside the Executive and learn more about how your work protects not only the Duwamish River ecosystem, but our community at large.

Big thanks to everyone that made it out to the Skyway Park Bowl Community Celebration!
The Skyway Rec Aide Program was thrilled to meet everyone, play some games, and craft some crafts. The DJ was amazing, the food was delish, and the Community orgs and County teams were all champs. The team was also excited to share feedback and cast some votes for the new Skyway Community Center design - we can't wait to see what comes next!

All the thanks to everyone who made it out to the WCTP 35th anniversary alumni vs teen kickball game! The alumni crushed it winning by “a lot.” Like, a lot a lot. Like by such a significant number that Jonathan and Rasheed said, please don’t post the score. Bingo was also popular (no surprise, there was warm gatorade on the line), and the cake was a hit all around (huge shoutout to the incredible bakers. ) We’ll be sharing several WC Teen Program highlights from the last 35 years in the upcoming months, but here’s to all the teens and staff (past, present and future) that bring the magic to the Cabin day by day. We appreciate you.
