ATTN CITY OF WHITE RIVER
The city maintenance department will be hauling branches from curbside and roadway starting on Friday August 14th pending weather. If there are any elderly or disabled who need help cleaning please contact Emergency Manager Cassie Beckwith at 605-319-9133 and she will try to arrange help for you.

If you have debris that you need hauled away please post it next to the road and not with any other items and volunteers will pick it up and haul it to the dump.

Mellette County Emergency Management will be holding a public meeting to gather input on the development of the Mellette County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan update on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 6 PM CDT at the White River firehall. All members of the public are encouraged to attend."

NOW HIRING Janitor/Maintenance person to start ASAP position is full time but would consider part time. Work duties include but are not limited to cleaning the courthouse and EMS building, mowing &grounds maintenance along with building maintenance. Full job description and applications are available at the Auditors office in the courthouse.
