And that’s a wrap! Today, WFD members completed a Level 1 Auto Extrication course with instruction from Rescue Methods Professional Training, along with support from the team at Broad and James Towing. The past week’s curriculum covered a variety of motor vehicle emergency scenarios they could encounter with many modern best practices to safely and effectively mitigate them. Thank you to our partners and our members for their hard work and commitment to the craft!

‼️ HYDRANT FLUSHING BEGINS ‼️
Whitehall Fire personnel will be conducting our annual hydrant flushing now through June 30, weekdays 8am - 4pm. This allows us to detect any hydrants that need additional maintenance or replacement.
During these times, you may experience a slight drop in water pressure or notice discoloration in your water since sediments inside the water mains are stirred up. Your water is still safe to drink, however we do recommend running a few faucets until the water is clear to get rid of unusual tastes, and to reduce the risk of discoloring your laundry.
Unfortunately it is not possible to post our exact route and schedule for your neighborhood because these tests are conducted by our on-duty crews that are often called away to handle emergencies.
The hydrants on Yearling Road will not be flushed until the water line replacement project is complete.
