The Whitesboro Police John J Buley PBA is open to discussions about consolidation if it is done correctly and all we ask is to have a seat at the table with the Town of Whitestown Town of Whitestown PBA. There are so steps in this process and the unions and stakeholders should be part of every step from beginning! Working together for one future goal is good business!

Elected officials are the managers of our local departments. They serve the taxpayers!

If Police Departments Ran Like the Private Sector

Imagine if police departments were expected to run like a private business. Poor management would not get an endless budget to cover the same mistakes. Leaders who burn through overtime, ignore retention, and keep replacing people instead of fixing the problems would be fired and replaced with managers who actually get results. In the private sector, results matter. In too many departments, the budget just expands to hide the inefficiency. Officers pay for it in forced OT, thin staffing, and another year of the same leadership. Taxpayers pay for it in higher costs for worse outcomes. Efficiency is not anti-police. It is what keeps good officers on the job and the department funded. Run it like a business or keep explaining the overtime bill.
