Sunday, October 4, 2026 - 10:00 a.m. Whitwell is in the Central Time Zone, but many of our visitors come from Chattanooga which is in the Eastern Time Zone. ADMISSION: $8.00 for adults; children 8 and under free. Parking is free! The 2026 Ketner’s Mill Country Arts Fair is the 49th annual event at the mill. Ketner’s is the premier Country Arts Fair in East Tennessee, and is home to some of the best in arts and crafts - ranging from sculpture and paintings, to pottery and hand-woven baskets to metal art and jewelry, plus woodworking, furniture, folk art, and more. Each year more than 100 artisans share their creativity and talents with us through their products and demonstrations, while there are more than 20 food vendors (texas taters and funnel cakes are just a few of the favorites), plus two days packed full of entertainment for the whole family. All exhibitors and vendors are chosen by committee to ensure quality. The Fair was established in 1977 by the late Frank W. McDonald to help preserve the historic mill. He and his cousin Clyde Ketner introduced a new generation to Ketner's Mill.

Still over four hours left at Ketner's Mill.

The 48th Annual Ketner's Mill Fair is open until 5:30 PM today in Whitwell, TN, and a Sunday afternoon is one of the nicest times to walk it. Watch a blacksmith work the forge, see woodworkers and other artisans demonstrate their craft, take a wagon ride through the countryside, and let the kids feed the farm animals by the old mill.

Then shop. Pottery, handwoven baskets, metal art, jewelry, furniture, paintings, folk art, and plenty of Southern-style food. Every booth is a maker who has been getting ready for this weekend since last October.

$8 per person, cash only. Kids 8 and under free.

Our vendors spend all year getting ready for this weekend: pottery, handwoven baskets, woodworking, metal art, jewelry, folk art, and so much more. The fair runs rain or shine, so if the sky looks gray, grab your raincoat and galoshes and come out anyway. A Sunday crowd in the rain means more to these makers than you know.

Admission is $8 per person (cash only). Children 8 and under are free.

The 48th Annual Ketner’s Mill Fair is back Saturday & Sunday, October 3–4, in Whitwell — East Tennessee’s Country Arts Fair. Two full days of handmade goods, country arts, live demonstrations, wagon rides, and a crowd that shows up ready to shop.

Forty-eight years of tradition has built a following that most fall fairs would love to have. If you make by hand, this is where you want to be standing in October.

The fall festival will continue each year… however, it is with regret that we announce that Ketner Mill will officially be closed to the public effective immediately.
We have enjoyed allowing members of our community to visit and enjoy the property at no cost. Unfortunately, we have recently begun receiving correspondence from attorneys representing individuals pursuing personal injury claims related to incidents that occurred on the property during recreational visits.
While we have always been happy to share this special place with others, the increasing legal risks, stress, and potential liability associated with public access have made it necessary for us to make this difficult decision.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who has respected and enjoyed Ketner Mill. However, in order to protect our family, our property, and our future, the mill and surrounding areas will now be closed to public access.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

🎉 Exciting News! We have officially opened up vendor registration for the 48th Annual Ketner’s Mill Fair!

🍂 Returning vendors may apply at any time and receive priority placement.

✨ We will approve the first 30 non-returning vendors. After those spaces are filled, registration for new vendors will close until July 1.

This beloved two-day tradition draws thousands of visitors each year for handcrafted goods, delicious food, live entertainment, and one of Tennessee’s most cherished fall experiences.
