The WPS bond issue is divided into two questions. Voters have the option to choose Question 1, or Question 1 and Question 2. Question 1 needs to pass for Question 2 to pass.

📌 If Question 1 passes, the tax rate would remain the same. A homeowner would not see an increase to what they currently pay, unless their property valuation increases.
📌 If Question 2 passes, the tax rate would increase with an anticipated impact of an additional $50 a year ($4.16 a month) for the owner of a $200,000 home compared to what is being paid today.

The district recommended a bond referendum based on school and community feedback.



La propuesta de bonos de las Escuelas Públicas de Wichita está dividida en dos preguntas. Los votantes pueden elegir votar por la Pregunta 1 únicamente, o por la Pregunta 1 y la Pregunta 2. Para que la Pregunta 2 sea aprobada, primero debe aprobarse la Pregunta 1.

📌 Si se aprueba la Pregunta 1, la tasa de impuestos permanecería igual. Los propietarios de vivienda no verían un aumento en lo que pagan actualmente, a menos que aumente el valor tasado de su propiedad.
