SPOOK-TACULAR SELF-CARE

Self-care isn't one-size-fits-all. Sometimes it's doing something fun, sometimes it's taking a step back, and sometimes it's simply giving yourself permission to do less.
Whether you're painting pumpkins, baking Halloween treats, enjoying a spooky movie, or spending the evening at home in your comfiest pajamas, make a little room for the things that help you recharge. We hope your self-care is boo-tiful!

In October we honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month to continue raising awareness, breaking down barriers, and building a community where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered. Sexual violence and domestic violence are deeply interconnected in that they often overlap in the experiences of survivors.

Domestic violence can include physical, emotional, psychological, financial, and sexual abuse. Sexual violence can also occur within intimate relationships, including marriage and dating relationships. Both can involve patterns of power, control, and coercion that impact a survivor's sense of safety, autonomy, and well-being.

Understanding this connection reminds us why collaboration matters. Survivors deserve access to compassionate, trauma-informed support, no matter where their journey begins.

Trauma Informed Gentle Yoga
Move, Breathe, Be

Wednesdays October 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th from 6:30 to 7:30pm

Join us for this free and confidential series for survivors of sexual violence.
Hit pause on the noise and demands of the world and allow yourself time and space to decompress. Each class will include opportunities to explore mindful movement, gentle breath work and restorative practices.

Taught by experienced trauma informed yoga teacher Heidi Barker. No prior experience necessary. Mats and props will be provided.
