Thinking about making a change to your schedule? You don’t have to figure it out alone. Check in with your academic adviser to talk through your options and make sure you understand how withdrawing could affect your academic progress or financial aid.

The Wichita State University College of Fine Arts mourns the loss of Ray Wills, a member of our Hall of Fame Class of 2018, accomplished actor, educator and proud WSU alum.

A Wichita native and 1983 graduate, Ray’s career spanned more than 35 years, taking him to Broadway, film, television and stages throughout our community. His Broadway credits included the original casts of “The Producers,” “Wonderful Town,” “Big” and “Anna Karenina.” As an educator, he shared his experience with students at Wichita State, Newman University, Butler Community College and Kean University.

Ray’s connection to WSU continued throughout his life. A four-year Miller Scholar and recipient of the George Wilner and Young Alumni awards, he returned in 2014 to deliver the College of Fine Arts’ commencement address.

We honor Ray’s contributions to the performing arts and the students and audiences he reached. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues and students as they remember his life and legacy.

Midterms are a chance to pause, take stock and decide what you need for the rest of the semester. Recognize the work you’ve already done, connect with your instructors and ask for support when you need it.

Take a breath. Keep creating. Keep going.
