One of our favorite jobs is interacting with and teaching kids fire safety!

A big THANK YOU to the Wild Rose Fire Department for helping keep our students safe during Fire Prevention Week! 🚒❤️

We appreciate you taking the time to visit, teach our kids about fire safety and help them learn what to do in an emergency.

🔥🚒 IT’S FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 🚒🔥

A few simple steps can help prevent a fire:

• Test your smoke alarms regularly.
• Keep anything that can burn away from heat sources.
• Never leave cooking unattended.
• Practice your family’s fire escape plan.
• Keep exits and escape routes clear.
• Charge electronic devices safely and unplug them when needed.
• Make sure everyone knows STOP, DROP & ROLL.

Prevent fires. Protect your family. Stay fire safe! ❤️‍🔥

Thank you for all your support throughout the years, Chief Klapoetke! You will be missed! 🚓

💙 Saying Goodbye & Good Luck to Chief Nathan Klapoetke 💙

As many of you know, we spent last week saying goodbye and good luck to one of the best — Chief Nathan Klapoetke.

Chief Klapoetke came to us with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience, which he used every day to help make our community and schools a safer and happier place. Throughout his time with us, he built trust within the community, respect among those he worked with, and countless friendships along the way.

His commitment and dedication — both on and off duty — to our community were truly second to none. His presence, leadership, and friendship will be greatly missed.

But thankfully, he won't be too far away! Our loss is Wautoma Police Department's gain. We wish Chief Klapoetke nothing but the very best as he begins this next chapter.

Chief Klapoetke, thank you for everything you have done for our community. We are grateful for your service, leadership, and dedication.

The next chief certainly has some BIG shoes to fill! 👮‍♂️💙

Good luck, Chief! You will always have friends here in Wild Rose!
