WILDER POLICE DEPARTMENT

SEXUAL BATTERY OF A CHILD — CASE UPDATE

Wilder, Idaho — September 23, 2026

The Wilder Police Department is providing the following update regarding a s*xual battery of a child investigation that originated in Wilder, Idaho, in November 2025.

On November 7, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a Wilder Police Department officer was conducting routine patrol when the officer observed a vehicle parked at Wilder City Park. The officer made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and discovered Damien Denton, of Arizona, was in the vehicle with an underage female.

During the subsequent investigation, officers determined that inappropriate s*xual contact had occurred between Denton and the juvenile victim. Investigators also determined that Denton had initially met the juvenile through the teenage dating application Wizz.

As part of the investigation, it was determined that Denton had represented himself to the juvenile as being 17 years old, when he was actually 23 years old and employed as a flight attendant.

On September 2, 2026, Denton pleaded guilty to Sexual Battery of a Minor and was subsequently sentenced. Denton received a seven-year sentence to be served on probation and was ordered to serve one year in the Canyon County Jail. His jail sentence is scheduled to be completed on November 2026. Denton was also ordered to register as a s*x offender as required by law.

The Wilder Police Department would like to recognize the officers and investigators involved in this case for their dedication and thorough work throughout the investigation.

We would also like to thank the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office for its work in prosecuting this case.

The Wilder Police Department remains committed to protecting children in our community and thoroughly investigating allegations involving the s*xual exploitation or abuse of children.

***Press Release***

On 09/22/26, the Wilder Police Department became aware of a stolen vehicle entering our jurisdiction. The information that WPD was given was that the vehicle was stolen during a carjacking in Boise and that it had passed an ALPR in Caldwell. At approximately 11:14 pm, WPD was alerted of the vehicle's location via the Flock Safety ALPR located in Greenleaf. The vehicle was traveling west and a WPD Officer was able to intercept the stolen vehicle, which was later discovered to be occupied by the driver, 20 year old Jordan Kinsey, and two passengers, 21 year old Yoli Zepeda and 18 year old Alyjah Malacara.

WPD attempted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on Hwy 95. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued south on Hwy 95, into Homedale city limits. The vehicle traveled on S. Main St. and stopped in the 500 block. The three occupants fled on foot from the vehicle and into a residential area.

After a search of the area, all three subject were located and taken into custody. A fi***rm was recovered that had been previously reported as stolen out of Ada County.

The WPD would like to thank the assistance of the Homedale Police Department, the Canyon County Sheriff's Office, the Caldwell Police Department, the Owyhee County Sheriff's Office, the Boise Police Department and IDOC Probation and Parole. The success of this case was due to the great working relationships between Law Enforcement agencies throughout the Treasure Valley.

Jordan Kinsey was charged with Felony Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Felon in Possession of a Fi***rm, Misdemeanor Eluding, Misdemeanor Resist & Obstruct and Misdemeanor Driving Without Privileges.

Both Yoli Zepeda and Alyjah Malacara were charged with Misdemeanor Resist & Obstruct.

🚨WILDER HOMECOMING — IMPORTANT UPDATE🚨

The Wilder Police Department has always supported our students and the long-standing Homecoming tradition of going out and celebrating together.

Unfortunately, following the recent incidents of vandalism, property damage, and safety concerns, students will no longer be permitted to go out toilet papering as part of Homecoming activities.

We gave our full support and trusted our students to celebrate responsibly. Unfortunately, that trust was not respected, and some chose to make decisions that resulted in criminal activity and safety concerns.

Moving forward:

🚫 Students should not be out toilet papering or participating in these activities.

⚠️ Juveniles found participating in toilet papering will be cited for littering under Idaho law. Their parents will then be contacted to pick them up.

⚠️ Any additional criminal activity, including vandalism or property damage, will be investigated and appropriate charges will be pursued.

We wanted our students to enjoy Homecoming, make memories, and participate in the traditions that make our community special. But those traditions must be carried out safely, respectfully, and within the law.

Parents, please talk with your students about this change and remind them that making a poor decision for the sake of a Homecoming tradition can have real consequences.

This exact situation is what we were trying to prevent with the information we put out prior.

Tonight we have received several calls regarding vandalism from some of the kids that are out doing homecoming toilet papering.

We have received reports of unknown substances being sprayed and/or placed on people’s drive ways and vehicles.

At this point we are done and our officers are telling kids to go home.

Thank you.

💗 WILDER COMMUNITY, LET’S WRAP HOLLEE IN LOVE! 💗

One of our own is facing a very difficult journey. Our brave Hollee, a student at Wilder Elementary, was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Hollee and her family are part of our Wilder community, and her mom works right here in town.

Now, it’s our turn to surround this sweet girl and her family with the love, strength, and support that makes our community so special. 💕

We would love to invite our Wilder community to come together and show Hollee just how many people are in her corner!

Our hearts are with you, Hollee. ♥️

You are strong. You are loved. You are NOT alone. 🎀
