Natchez Trace State Park Come check us out! Natchez Trace State Park is located on an alternate route of the old Natchez Trace.
(1358)

This route of the old trace is on the opposite side of the Tennessee River from the Natchez Trace Parkway. The name originally applied to a series of trails and paths that originated with animal migration routes and American Indian trade and travel routes. These were later used by returning boatmen that had floated goods to markets in Natchez and New Orleans from the Nashville area.

Meet our newest seasonal Ranger for this spooky season!
Please join us in welcoming Ranger Bones and his trusty sidekick, Count Opossum.
Ranger Bones may be a little dead serious about protecting our park, but he’s adjusting nicely. When he’s not out protecting the park his favorite hobbies include birdwatching and walking around all the cemeteries on the park. And we can’t forget about Count Opossum, his vampire opossum who is never far behind. His favorite hobbies include rummaging through trash left out at night in campsites and brushing his 50 teeth, he’s very proud of them.
If you see these two around the park make sure you stop and say hello.
