Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Cape May County Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) & Cape Assist Annual Fall Networking Breakfast at the ICONA Avalon on September 30. The event brought together community leaders, prevention partners, and advocates for a morning of networking, collaboration, and learning. Attendees heard from guest speaker Kym Laube, Executive Director of HUGS, Inc., who presented "From Boomers to Zoomers, Leading Across Generations: Creating Healthy Workplaces Amid the Opioid & Stimulant Crisis." This educational presentation was funded through the Opioid Response Network.
We were also proud to recognize two outstanding community leaders with the 2026 Partner in Prevention Award:
🏆 Detective Mary Rybicki of the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, recognized for dedicated service as Chairperson of the Healthy Community Coalition during 2025-2026.
🏆 Steve Bistak of the Lower Township Tabernacle United Methodist Church, recognized for a longstanding commitment to the well-being of youth and families throughout our community.
Congratulations to both award recipients and thank you to all who continue to support prevention, wellness, and positive community change across Cape May County.
