Thank you to everyone at Valley Chevrolet for their great service. Both cruisers were purchased fully with a state grant that was obtained by the Township at the beginning of the year, which was previously jointly announced by Senator Marty Flynn and Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski. We thank them for their continued support! We look forward to getting these vehicles on patrol!

The hottest months of the year are here — they’re also the most dangerous! ⚠️🌡️

Child hot car deaths spike dramatically during the summer, with numbers peaking sharply in June, July and August. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent or caregiver, remind yourself to protect what matters most. 👶❤️

Warning is hereby given: Police will begin taking immediate action to address the ongoing trend of teen takeovers.

Police have received numerous 9-1-1 calls regarding teens & young adults congregating in numbers in the parking lots of local businesses, harassing customers, engaging in disorderly conduct, littering, drag racing, reckless driving, and fighting.

The property managers of Target, Wilkes-Barre Township Commons, Union Center, East End Centre, Wegmans, Arena Hub Plaza, Mundy Street Square, The Pointe on Mundy Street, Skateaway and Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace have authorized police officers to act as agents of their properties. Police are authorized to order any person and/or vehicle to leave these properties at any time and may enforce all provisions of Pennsylvania Title 18, Title 75, and local ordinances.

PA Title 23, Chapter 55 allows for parents to be held responsible when their child intentionally harms someone or damages property.

Police involvement is the last step, not the first. Parents: Parent your kids. Know where your kids are; we shouldn’t have to. If you won’t parent them, we will.

Your job is parenting, Ours is enforcement; Don’t make us do yours. We WILL enforce what you ignore. We’d rather you raise them than we process them.
