What does America sound like? Two violins, a viola, and a cello set out to answer that question in music spanning over a century of American life. This free library concert features string quartet music by Charles Ives, Scott Joplin, Philip Glass, Samuel Barber, and Jessie Montgomery, tied together by the “American” Quartet, written by Antonín Dvořák, a visitor who heard something in this country that he simply had to put on paper. 🇺🇸🎼
This event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary.
