The Williams Volunteer Firefighters Association would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Bill Vann’s daughters, Kerry and Kelsey, for attending last night’s City of Williams Planning Commission meeting and supporting the proposal to rename Ella Street to Bill Vann Way—the street where Station 20 will be built.

After much discussion and consideration, we are proud to share that the Planning Commission approved the name change to Bill Vann Way.

This is a special and meaningful way to honor Bill’s dedication, service, and lasting impact on the City of Williams and its community.

09/28/2026 UPDATE 🚒

Williams Fire Department, Station 20 is really coming together!

Framing, roof work, insulation, the fire suppression system, and so much more are currently in progress. It’s exciting to watch the building take shape and see all the hard work happening behind the scenes.

We’re looking forward to seeing Station 20 continue to progress and getting closer to serving our community from this new facility. Stay tuned for more updates as construction continues!

Big shout out to Exempt Member, Dick Lau for these amazing pictures. Such a flex to have a professional photographer a call away.
