On May 14, 2026, the Williamsburg Police Department attended the 43rd Annual Law Enforcement Awards Banquet. Sergeant Merv Clemons was awarded the Excellence in Police Service Award for his 26 years of police service by Prosecutor Mark Tekulve. Local 12 Adam Clements was the emcee for the evening.

The Williamsburg Police Department would like to congratulate Police Chaplain Michael Yeary on his retirement. Chief Herren presented a certificate and a retirement badge on Saturday May 23, 2026. Chaplain Yeary has served with us since 2019. Michael was a pleasure to serve with and be around. Enjoy your retirement.

Williamsburg Police Department would like to thank Mount Orab Kroger for suppling the police officers with a BBQ Rib dinner on Friday May 22nd. We also appreciate the goodie basket you brought for K9 Modi and Chief Herren.

This weekend, May 8, 9, and 10, is the Village Wide Yard Sale. Please be mindful of the extra traffic that will be in town. Also, if you are setting up for the yard sale, you are NOT permitted to set up in the Community Park at 150 East Main Street.

East bound Main street from 5th street to Broadway will be closed May 4th ,5th and 6th from 8 am to 4 pm for a water project. The west bound lane will remain open and you can turn onto South 5th street from it. Please follow detour around the block signs will be posted.
