Meet Linell Stabler, President & Founder of ACES North America!

Linell helped establish ACES in 2005 and has spent more than two decades supporting its mission of building meaningful connections and opportunities in the Dominican Republic.

A longtime member of the Williamsport community, Linell and her husband, Dan, owned two local businesses, including the R.E. Smith Company.

Outside of ACES, Linell enjoys spending time with her five granddaughters, making music with her church's worship team, and traveling, especially to Zambia, Africa, where she's escorted safari tour groups!

When asked what ACES means to her, Linell shared:

"From the beginning, for me ACES has been a vehicle to pass along goods, expertise, and friendship to deserving folks in the Dominican Republic. ACES has given me and so many others an opportunity to help others while seeing a beautiful part of the world."

Thank you, Linell, for 21 years of dedication to ACES and the communities we serve! 💙

What can $25 a month do? More when we do it together.

Monthly giving is one of the simplest ways to provide steady, reliable support for ACES' work throughout the year. When many people choose to give a little each month, those individual donations add up to help support educational opportunities, children’s programs, community projects, and other needs identified by our partners in the Dominican Republic.

Starting at $25 a month, your recurring donation helps ACES continue working alongside local leaders and investing in projects that create meaningful opportunities in their communities.

It’s a simple way to make giving part of your routine while helping ACES continue making a difference. 💙

Learning can happen in some pretty creative ways. 🎨💙

At Angosto Kids Club, fun activities often come with something more to discover along the way.

Children have created and decorated their own piggy banks while learning about the importance of saving money. Older kids have learned how to give discarded materials a second life by turning used tires into furniture.

Projects like these give kids a chance to get creative and have fun while also learning practical skills and thinking about the world around them in new ways.

It’s hands-on learning that encourages creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving, one project at a time.

A two-mile walk shouldn’t stand between a child and their education. 💙

In 2022, a one-room school in the Dominican Republic closed, leaving local children to travel nearly two miles along a treacherous road to reach their new classrooms.

ACES is working to help safely reopen the school and bring education back to the community.

The project needs a small restroom, perimeter fencing, and grading, with an estimated total cost of $3,000.

Through ACES' new sponsorship program, $100 can help move this project closer to reopening its doors.

There’s a lot more happening at El Taller than making art. 🎨

A painting, craft, or hands-on project might be what children take home at the end of the day, but along the way, they’re building creativity, problem-solving skills, confidence, and connections with one another.

El Taller gives children opportunities to explore new ideas, learn about the world around them, and express themselves in a supportive environment.

The projects are fun. What they learn along the way is even better. 💙

Every community has its own strengths, challenges, and priorities. The people who live there understand those needs better than anyone.

ACES works with local leaders and partners in the Dominican Republic to support the ideas and projects that matter to their communities. They bring the local knowledge. We help provide resources and support to move good ideas forward.

That partnership is at the heart of how ACES works.
