Our guest visitor today was Donna Mullins from the League of Women Voters of Michigan for a short review of the 2026 Non Partisan Voter Guide. Due to an internet outage we were unable to view the short film on the Selma Sisters but we have a copy for anyone interested in a later viewing.

She also talked about the two state wide ballot proposals 1) the State of Michigan Constitution, which happens every 16 years and 2) Prohibiting Campaign Contributions to water and energy providers.

Be sure to pick up a copy of their Voter Guide, we have several extra for the taking.

Member Anis shared his recent adventures to Fairmont IN to attend the James Dean Festival then onto Aspen CO for John Denver Days. There he got to visit with American Graffiti stars Candy Clark and Mckenzie Phillips (daughter of John Phillips Mamas and the Papas).

It's always great when members talk of their life adventures! Dan Fleser recently shared his garden successes for the season. Grandson presented and won the Biggest Sunflower in Michigan! And we heard that one of his pumpkins topped out at 2,248 lbs! (That's a LOT of pumpkin! 🎃 ) Thank you for sharing!
