🎉Happy Code Enforcement Month!

Our Code Enforcement Officers play an important role in keeping Williston a safe, clean and welcoming place to live, work and visit and their work goes far beyond writing notices.

🚨They respond to concerns from residents, conduct routine patrols throughout the City and work with property owners when issues are identified. From overgrown grass and accumulated debris to unsafe structures, abandoned vehicles, zoning concerns and building code violations, they help address a wide variety of issues that impact our community.

When a violation is found, officers work with property owners to explain the issue, provide written notice and allow reasonable time to make corrections before fines or other enforcement measures are considered.

Their work includes:
🔹 Investigating complaints and community concerns
🔹 Conducting proactive patrols throughout the City
🔹 Helping property owners understand City requirements
🔹 Identifying potential health, safety and property concerns
🔹 Working cooperatively with residents to resolve violations
🔹 Following up to ensure issues are corrected

Whether they're responding to a complaint or spotting an issue during a routine patrol, our Code Enforcement Officers help protect the quality of our neighborhoods and our community.

Thank you to our Code Enforcement team for the work you do every day (often behind the scenes) to help keep Williston a great place to call home! 👏💙
