PSA: There have been three utility trailers stolen across town within the past week. If you or someone you know have a trailer take note if it is easily accessible and call if you see any suspicious activity. Be wary of purchasing a trailer if the price seems too good to be true and If you have any information on the stolen trailers, please contact the Barnwell County Dispatch at 803-541-1052.

Friendly reminder to never pay a bill, government fee, or service with a gift card. Legitimate businesses will never demand payment this way. Scammers will call, text, and email posing as government officials, employers, your bank, or even as family and friends. Once they receive the code on the back of the gift card the funds are drained and unrecoverable. These scams often target the elderly. Please take a moment to talk to your family about scammers.
