“This institution is an equal opportunity provider.” Organized in 1889, Williston Fire Department is a combination department that provides fire and advanced life support emergency medical services to the City of Williston, North Dakota and the surrounding area. WFD consists of four fire stations staffed 24/7 and is approved up to 81 full-time career staff, 27 paid on-call members, and 4 part-time members.

Who says it's too early to decorate for Christmas?! 🎄❄

The WFD Firefighters 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒 from B-Shift were at Spring Lake Park today to help the Williston CVB set up the Christmas Tree for the annual Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive.

The annual Holiday Lights Drive runs from November 27th to December 31st.

Emergency readiness is our top priority at WFD, but showing up for our community is just as important!

Our crews spent this week out in the community for Fire Prevention Week, visiting local schools, preschools, and daycares to talk about fire safety. To cap it all off, we brought the apparatus out for the annual homecoming parade and provided medical standby under the lights at the football game. 🚑 🏈

The WFD recruit academy is almost over! Captain Theetge spent today teaching victim rescue and firefighter down rescue techniques.

Thanks to partnerships with the North Dakota Firefighter's Association we are able to complete training and certification testing for entry level positions locally.

WFD Firefighters 👨‍🚒 are at the CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center Sound the Siren BBQ. The grills are on until 7 PM. Stop by, check out our trucks, and see the location of the new Emergency Department.

Fire Prevention Week has begun, and our Firefighters will be visiting elementary schools today.

This year's theme is "Safe Charging Is a Superpower!" We will be highlighting safe practices for charging and using electronic devices.
