KCED enjoyed connecting with Happy Hala during a recent Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) visit!

BR&E is about more than checking in with local businesses. It’s about listening, gathering information, and identifying trends that help us anticipate the future needs of our business community.

By understanding what businesses are experiencing today, we can better identify workforce needs, strengthen supply chain connections, recognize emerging challenges, and connect businesses with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

Every conversation helps us build a clearer picture of where our county is headed and how KCED can help support sustainable economic growth.

Thank you, Happy Hala, for taking the time to share your insights with us!

KCED has been busy connecting with our local businesses through Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) visits!

Last week, we had the opportunity to meet with Gilbertson Wealth Management to learn more about their business, discuss their goals, and explore how KCED can provide support. We also talked about the services they offer and the important role they play in serving individuals and businesses throughout Kandiyohi County and Willmar.

These visits are about building relationships, understanding local business needs, and identifying ways KCED can connect businesses with resources and opportunities.

Thank you to Gilbertson Wealth Management for taking the time to meet with us!

Listening. Supporting. Growing.

KCED recently joined the Pennock City Council meeting to listen, learn, and better understand the community’s priorities and project needs.

We shared information about Community Project funding opportunities and discussed ways KCED can help connect Pennock with resources to support local initiatives.

At KCED, strong economic development starts with strong relationships. By working alongside our cities and community leaders, we can identify opportunities, explore resources, and help turn ideas into action.

Thank you to Pennock’s leaders for the opportunity to connect and collaborate!

KCED recently connected with Data Success during a Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) visit, reinforcing the value of staying connected with the businesses that help drive our local economy.

BR&E is about more than a conversation. It’s about listening to business owners, understanding their needs, identifying opportunities for growth, and connecting them with resources and support to help them succeed.

Through these visits, KCED gains valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our local businesses. These conversations help us identify workforce needs, explore expansion opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and advocate for the resources that support long-term economic growth throughout Kandiyohi County.

Strong businesses build strong communities. By listening, supporting, and working alongside our local businesses, KCED is helping create an environment where businesses can grow, thrive, and invest in our communities.

Thank you to Data Success for taking the time to connect with us!

As much as we love to visit each business and even get a tour, we also conduct BR&E visits in our office.
The important thing is getting the information and listening to learn about the business and thier current needs and forecasting future needs and development.

Thank you for Willmar Junk Removal for your time today for a BR&E visist.

As the Executive Director, I wanted to take a personal moment to say thank you for the well wishes and even beautiful flowers. I was out office last week for an unexpected medical issue, but I am back in office and following up with the great work conducted by the team last last week.

Working in an office with a great team is amazing for me personally, but is also amazing for the communities we serve becasuse we all work together to make sure we keep every project and program covered regardless who is in or out of the office.

KCED office team is rock solid.
