We are excited to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Clay Holub, who was sworn in this morning by Mayor Fiala. Clay was appointed to our department in July of 2015. Mayor Fiala also recently swore in our newest career Firefighter, James Keough. These gentlemen filled the openings created by the retirement of Lt. Aaron Bolton. Congratulations to Clay and James!

We recently placed “new” Squad 1432 into service at the Euclid Avenue firehouse. This vehicle was originally a 2013 International with a Horton body but was experiencing significant mechanical issues due to a high number of miles and engine hours. Horton removed the patient compartment and mounted it on a new Ford F550 chassis and replaced nearly every interior component to give us several more years of service. Compared to the current price of a new ambulance, the city saved well over $100,000. We sincerely appreciate the continuous support of our mayor, city council, and finance director.

We would like to congratulate and welcome our newest career firefighter, Patrick Gallagher. Pat is the son of veteran firefighter Chris Gallagher who has been with our department for over 30 years. We’ve had many father-son combinations throughout our history and we’re proud to celebrate this one as well!
