Don't Discard it - Revive It! An Introduction to Sashiko
Tuesday, June 16, 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Do you have clothes in your closet that are taking up space? Before you donate the excess to a thrift shop (where it is 85% likely to end up on a landfill), take another look! Could it use a lift? Does it need repair? Would you love to give an old favorite a new life? This workshop is for you! Bring 1-2 of your garments* that need “something” and learn how to revive your wardrobe with the beautiful Japanese art of Sashiko. In this hands-on workshop we will also discuss the devastating impacts of the fashion industry on the environment during the manufacture, use, and disposal of ready-to-wear apparel.
