ONE OF THE THINGS THIS OLE FIRST SERGEANT LOVES TO DO IS DIG INTO THINGS AND FIGURE OUT WHO I CAN NJP, ARTICLE 15, OR AT LEAST MAKE STAND TALL IN FRONT OF THE MAN. 😂
In all seriousness, while working on outreach projects and preparing for our upcoming website update, I came across something that definitely got my attention:
🚫 [[email protected]]🚫
That email address has been active for quite some time, but for reasons I am still sorting through, it apparently has not been actively monitored.
So, while I continue investigating who gets assigned firewatch for the next 30 days, Veterans and their families need to know two important things:
1. DO NOT SEND EMAILS TO ⛔[[email protected]] ⛔
That mailbox is not currently being monitored. Judging by what I found, it may have been sitting about as unattended as a Cold War-era guard shack.
2. IF YOU PREVIOUSLY EMAILED THAT ADDRESS AND NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE, PLEASE CONTACT US AGAIN.
I apologize. Bottom line: we missed your request.
I should have caught this oversight when I began my outreach and communications work a few months ago. Being a one-man band will do that sometimes, but I’m fighting my way through it like it’s the Frozen Chosin, and the mission will succeed!
I was not here when nearly all of those messages were sent, but that does not change the fact that Veterans and family members reached out for assistance and did not receive a response. I am taking steps now to right the ship.
Here’s the ironic part: while reviewing the mailbox, I FOUND AN EMAIL FROM MYSELF that I sent to that very address a few years ago after moving to Clinton County and looking for information about Clinton County Veteran benefits.
Apparently, Past Ron got ghosted by the same mailbox. 😂 Maybe it was destiny that I ended up here.
Again, PLEASE DO NOT USE ⛔[[email protected]] ⛔while I work to get the address disabled or corrected.

As for the abandoned-mailbox investigation…Stand by.
Before being promoted to First Sergeant and stepping into command-level leadership, one of my MOSs was Military Police. Then after the Corps, I spent years investigating and auditing businesses for the federal government.
I know how to follow a trail, review records, compare evidence, ask the right questions, and keep digging until the facts line up. So trust me: I WILL figure out what happened—and somebody is getting assigned to the duty roster. 😂🇺🇸
