Our 2026 Winter Coat Drive is officially underway, and we’re doing our part to help keep our community warm this season!

We’re collecting new and gently used winter essentials for ALL ages! This month-long initiative helps provide HUNDREDS of much-needed winter clothing items to individuals and families who might otherwise go without.

We're accepting:

🧤 Gloves
🧢 Hats
🧣 Scarves
🥾 Snow boots
👖 Winter pants..and more!

📣 Wilmington friends, we've got great news!

Two Mobile Food Pantries are coming to Kuzma Care Cottage! These events offer families an opportunity to receive additional groceries beyond their regular food pantry assistance. Food is free, everyone is welcome, and no ID or proof of income is required.

If stretching the grocery budget has been a challenge, this is a wonderful opportunity to stock up on extra food for your household. Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with friends, family, neighbors, churches, schools, and community groups.

Together, we can make sure more families have access to the food they need. ❤️

Thanks to our friends at Finale Academy of the Arts for hosting this Trunk or treat on Tuesday October 27th and collecting canned goods to keep our pantry shelves stocked.

💜 We are blessed to have organizations in our community that work year-round to help local families in need.

As the holiday season approaches, we'd like to share Project Neighbor 2026, a program of Christian Help Association - CHA that provides thoughtful gifts for senior citizens in our community. This year's project focuses on keeping minds active and spirits bright through simple items that encourage enjoyment, engagement, and connection.

The 2026 wish list includes:

🖊️ Pens & Sharpened Pencils
🟨 Highlighters

We extend our sincere thanks to Christian Help Association for the countless ways they support families throughout the year, especially during the holidays. We are also grateful to the Ladies of the St. Rose CCW for coordinating this year's Project Neighbor effort.

🍽️ SNAP Recipients: If you lost food due to the recent power outage, you may qualify for replacement SNAP benefits if the outage was longer than 4 hours.

📞 Call the your local DHS office within 10 calendar days upon discovery of the destroyed food due to a disaster. If you are a Will County resident you can call at (815) 740-5350.
