Our Candy Monster Has Done It Again!

Once again, our Department's Candy Monster has been well-fed thanks to the incredible generosity of our community! We continue to be amazed by the kindness and support of our residents.
With the price of candy these days, we may have to keep this haul locked up.

Friday, 10/23, is the deadline for candy donations.

Candy will be available for distribution at Wilton Library through Halloween Day. Residents interested in receiving candy should contact Wilton Library personnel for eligibility information.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make Halloween a little sweeter for our community!

The Wilton Police Department (WPD) is currently seeking three dedicated individuals to join our team as Full-Time Police Officers. The WPD prides itself on a unique, family-oriented culture where professional excellence meets a supportive and welcoming environment. Our commitment to this atmosphere is even reflected in our support staff, K9 celebrities Dora and Charlie, and our resident feline Officer Leo.

While the demand for law enforcement professionals is high across the region, we encourage prospective candidates to experience the Wilton difference firsthand through a ride-along. In an era where many professionals frequently change employers, law enforcement offers the rare advantage of long-term stability and growth within a single agency. By building your career with us, you will benefit from progressive vacation accrual, increased seniority for shift bidding, and an intimate, invaluable knowledge of the community you serve—a level of expertise that can only be achieved through dedicated, long-term commitment.
Discover a career where you aren't just a badge number, but a vital part of a family.

After years of weathered abuse and the overly enthusiastic attention of our station cat, the Wilton Police Department Candy Monster has received a much-needed makeover and is ready to be fed!

Each year, the Wilton Candy Drive collects donated candy to help households in the downtown area that welcome hundreds of trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. With so many children visiting the neighborhoods, keeping the candy bowls full can become a significant expense.

Want to help? Feed the Candy Monster! Bags of candy can be dropped off at Candy Monster collection boxes located at the Town Hall, Police Department, Public Library, and Lyndeborough Town Hall.

Downtown residents interested in receiving donated candy for Halloween night should contact Town Clerk Jane Farrell for eligibility information.
