Westport Day School We are a Therapeutic Day School for Grades 5-12. At the core of our school model is a strong, student centered, treatment alliance.

The Westport Day School is a therapeutic school for students with internalizing behaviors, complex learning profiles, and unique academic needs. With small class sizes of 1-4 students, the Westport Day School is a highly therapeutic, yet academically challenging environment. This alliance includes teachers, parents, clinicians, and individualized and student driven curriculum. The Westport Day School serves students in grades 6 - 12. A Westport Day School Student may be a unique and uncommon learner. They may experience anxiety and/or depression, display academic avoidance or school refusal. They may struggle to identify their own strengths and weaknesses; lack self-awareness or be unengaged in their learning process. We accept students with diagnosed learning disabilities, have complex learning profiles, have average to above average intelligence and can regulate their behavior in a small, therapeutic, classroom setting. Random acts of kindness.....
Not enough can be said about the power of kindness!!!
Yesterday, I witnessed so many acts of kindness here at Westport Day School.
A lovely person (thank you N) left these flowers on my desk.
Also I witnessed a few teachers advocating on behalf of students who needed a little extra care and support.
WDS staff, you rock!!!!

Our Middle School U.S. History students studied the Columbian Exchange.
They created restaurants and menus with breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and beverage items containing ingredients from both the New and Old World.

Have you ever seen a life size Moveopoly Board?
The object of the game is to move and complete challenges.
Instead of rent - you must complete the penalties
Instead of jail - you go to the bench!
Instead of money - you pay with stamina points and do the activity!
We are so fortunate to have such a creative movement teacher,
Thank you Ryan!
