Safety Tip of the Week: Take a Fair-Day Family Photo

🎡 Before you head off to enjoy the rides, games, and fried dough, take a quick photo of your children on your phone.

Why?

If you become separated, you'll have a current photo showing exactly what they're wearing that day, making it easier for event staff and law enforcement to help reunite your family.

Safety Tip of the Week: Heads Up, Phones Down

Ever walked into a pole, curb, or shopping cart because you were looking at your phone? You're not alone. 😄

📱 Situational awareness means paying attention to what's happening around you, not just what's happening on your screen. Whether you're walking through a parking lot, crossing the street, or out for a jog, keeping your head up can help you spot hazards, avoid accidents, and stay safe.

9/11 - Never Forget

Twenty-five years later, it's still difficult to put September 11, 2001 into words.

Many of us remember exactly where we were when we heard the news. Others know that day only through stories, photographs, and history lessons. But whether you lived through it or learned about it later, the impact remains the same.

Today is about the nearly 3,000 people who left home that morning and never returned. It's about the families whose lives changed forever. It's about the police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and ordinary citizens who put others before themselves when it mattered most.

We don't have to have been there to honor their sacrifice. We don't have to make it about ourselves. We simply have to remember.

We carry forward the lessons of service, courage, duty, and sacrifice that were on full display that day. Those values did not disappear when the smoke cleared, and neither should our commitment to remembering those who paid the ultimate price.

So today, take a moment.

Pause.

Think about the lives that were lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the resilience of a nation that refused to be broken.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We still honor. And we will never forget.

🇺🇸❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You to Wilton Senior Housing ❤️🇺🇸

Today, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the residents of Wilton Senior Housing for their thoughtful generosity and kindness toward both the Wilton Police Department and Wilton Fire & Rescue.

The delicious treats are greatly appreciated, and the beautiful 9/11 commemorative flag is a touching tribute that helped us reflect on the significance of September 11, 2001. As we honor the memory of those who lost their lives, the courage of the first responders, and the resilience of our nation, your thoughtful gesture serves as an important reminder that we must never forget.

We are grateful to serve a community that continually shows its support and appreciation. Thank you for helping us honor 9/11 and for thinking of our police officers and firefighters.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 🇺🇸
