When your daycare/preschool provider is passionate about education and partners with the parent to prepare their child for kindergarten. Spring assessments are complete and my 2-3 year olds did very well. One 2 year old received 3 out of 4 certificates another 2 year old received a potty trained certificate. When your up late at night preparing certificates for the littles. A 2 year received 3 of 4 certificates after his Spring assessment. Three littles have completed potty training two 3 year olds and one 2 year old. At PJA we not only prepare the student academically we assist with potty training. Potty training tip * consistency 😉. I love it here. I will put in another hour planning the Zoo taste and see… why do I put in so many hours because Every child deserves a strong start! Enrollment open for the fall

Letter Z…. The students will create their OWN Zoo map. At PJA we allow room for student led activities. We talked about the letter Z and words that start with Z. That sparked a whole lesson on the type of animals they seen at the zoo. I printed the animals they mentioned they will cut and classify the animals. To extend learning we will add culinary to activity taste the “food “ that the animals eat. Precious Jewels Academy believes EVERY child deserves a strong start! Enrollment open for the fall🍎

When a mom sends a msg in the parent group text that she was counting with her son (3 year old) and she was asking him simple addition questions (1+1, 2+1 and so forth up to 5) she said he did not even blink and was answering the questions right. And said she was scared to go further than 5. I told her she could and because we work on one to one counting he would have answered correctly. I said all that to say because of a fun exercise like this they are learning while reinforcing the shape of the month (pentagon) number of the month 10 and practicing stamping their name. Daycares always post the before pictures of plates or the food being plated…. At PJA we post what matters-the after pictures. Not only do we provide quality care we provide quality meals for breakfast, lunch and snack. Today’s lunch menu: smoked beef sausage, garlic and herb noodles, broccoli and pears. The picture says it all. If you know you know Mrs. LaRhonda can roll some pots. Everyday the students tell me “I’m the best cooker 😍”. If you have ever eaten any food that I cooked sound off in the comments the dish I prepared that you enjoyed!

At PJA layered learning helps students connect lessons and learn. Finishing up the alphabet with the letters Z and Q. The students mentioned they have been to the Zoo. That conversation sparked an idea 💡. The idea allows the students to create a zoo map and have a taste an see (what the animals eat). The activity will take place over a couple of days. I am excited about this activity and the Q &U celebration 🎉. I love it here. Enrollment now open for the fall

Musical chairs is a great game to play to teach students it is ok to lose. Emotional regulation is on every Kindergarten Readiness checklist😉. At PJA we not only teach ABC’s, Colors, Shapes and Numbers we are concerned with the whole child. Early education is an investment.
