🚧 North Main Street Stormwater Improvement Project

On October 20, 2026, Public Works initiated an in-house stormwater improvement project on North Main Street between Barnes Dr. and Linden Ave.

During the coming weeks, approximately 500 feet of pipe will be installed, along with several new storm drains. Weather permitting, Phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed in 2–3 weeks. Residents can expect road closures and delays in the area throughout this timeframe.

Phase 2 of the project will begin in spring 2027 and include new concrete curbing and asphalt resurfacing.

The overall goal of this project is to improve stormwater infrastructure in the area and reduce the potential threat of flooding and property damage.

📞 If you have any questions or concerns, please call Public Works at 859-745-7414.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our community’s infrastructure!

It’s that time of year when we see an increase in temporary signs installed throughout our community. Please ensure you are keeping your signs compliant with the sign regulations.

• For residential and/or business zoning districts, you do not need a permit to install temporary signs of up to 4-square feet between October 1st and November 15th. Business zoned properties can have larger temporary signs installed any time of year, with an accompanying temporary sign permit and required to adhere to Article 11.11.5 of the Zoning Ordinance.

• When installed within the Agricultural and Industrial Zoning Districts, you do not need a permit to install a temporary sign of up to 32-square feet between October 1st and November 15th. Industrial zoned properties can have temporary signs installed any time of year, with an accompanying temporary sign permit and required to adhere to Article 11.11.5 of the Zoning Ordinance.

• In all cases, you cannot install a sign within the street right-of-way. Please see the visual aid and link below for more information. Thank you!
