A big THANK YOU to Shentel for once again choosing the Evans Home for your Caring Days volunteer event! 💙

Their team spent the day painting some of our kids’ bedrooms and door frames, along with tackling several needed repairs around the house. These projects make such a difference in helping us keep our home safe, welcoming, and sparkling!

And of course, it’s all fun and games until the Wi******er Fire Department shows up! 🚒😂 Apparently, our fire alarm system is not a fan of electric sanders. Who knew?! Glad they were good sports and stopped for a really quick picture.

A little unexpected excitement aside, we are so grateful to Shentel for your continued support and willingness to roll up your sleeves and help us care for our home and the kids who live here! ❤️

A big thank you to Love to NIC for providing new boots and shoes for a young adult in our Alumni Program! ❤️

He recently started a new job that keeps him on his feet all day, so having good, comfortable, supportive shoes is especially important.

We are so thankful for community partners like Love to Nic who help us continue supporting our young people as they move into adulthood, start new jobs, and build their independence. Sometimes something as simple as the right pair of shoes can make a big difference. 👟

Thank you, Love to Nic, for being there when one of our young adults needed a little extra support!

What an incredible gift! ❤️

A huge thank you to the Wi******er Virginia Eagles Club 824 for their incredibly generous $20,000 donation to the Evans Home!!

They had a wonderful celebration Saturday night, and we were so grateful to be a part of it. Thank you to Evans Home Board Member Craig Morcom for attending and accepting the check on our behalf.

We are so fortunate to have organizations like the Eagles in our community who believe in the work we do and continue to support the children we serve.

What a night! ❤️🎶📸

We had such a great time at our Evening with Evans Home Friends event last night! Amazing music, awesome food, lots of laughs, great camaraderie, and a little photo booth silliness made for a pretty fantastic evening.

And the best part? We were having fun while raising funds to support the kids and the work of the Evans Home!

Our Executive Director and a few of our Board Members definitely got into the spirit of the evening — as you can see below! 😂📸

Thank you to everyone who joined us, sponsored the event, donated, bid in the silent auction, and helped make the night such a success. We are incredibly lucky to have such a fun and supportive community behind the Evans Home.

🍂 **Day of Caring at the Evans Home!** 🍂

We love our friends at Navy Federal Credit Union! They are always willing to roll up their sleeves and take on projects for us—not just during the United Way Day of Caring, but throughout the year.

This year, their team helped us tackle fall cleanup across our large grounds and some much-needed painting inside the Home. There is always something that needs to be done around here, and we are so thankful for their willingness to jump in and help!

A big thank you also to United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley for organizing Day of Caring and connecting local nonprofits with volunteers who are ready to make a difference.

Thank you to The Wi******er Star for sharing the story of our upcoming Evening with Evans Home Friends!

On Thursday, September 24th, we’ll gather at Piccadilly's Public House and Restaurant from 5:30–8:30 PM for our biggest fundraiser of the year. It’s always a fun night with a delicious buffet dinner, silent auction, musical entertainment, photo booth, and most importantly, a room full of people who care about the kids we serve.

Funds raised that evening directly support the care, programs, and opportunities we provide for our children throughout the year.
