Come out and support local businesses! Today members of our Post are donating time with local businesses like Night Sky Coffee Roasters.

Night Sky has promised to donate a portion of today’s proceeds to our Post. We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to working together.

We will never forget.

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, and every day, the more than 1.3 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliary will keep the POW/MIA flag flying, the candle of hope burning and our commitment will remain unwavering. We will not rest until they are all accounted for.

Patriotism and support for troops were high after the 9/11 attacks. But over 25 years, a Marine veteran has seen Americans move on

We had a very successful fish fry fundraiser on Saturday. And, our first plant bingo was a hit. Thank you so much to all those who came out to support us.
And a big thank you to the JROTC cadets for volunteering their time. We couldn’t have done it without you 🫡

Today we hosted the VFW Department of Georgia District 3 meeting. We had around 40 members attend and a special guest, State Junior Vice Commander Jason Nichols. The event included a joint meeting with the auxiliary, draping ceremony for prior District 3 Cmdr Wilbert Jordan, a silent auction and, of course, a business meeting.

We want to give a special thanks to Night Sky Coffee Roasters for providing delicious coffee ☕️

Thank you to all who attended!

The VA silently changed their rules for disability ratings to include that if your disability is improved with medication the rating will be reduced. Meaning disabilities such as PTSD and MST that are MANAGED with prescriptions can be reduced simply because a medication was introduced.

Public comments are open now and will close in April, but the rule is already in effect!

The new rule states that a disability level must be based on how well a veteran functions while on medication and not on the underlying impairment.
