This morning, our duty crew had the pleasure of providing Natalie a ride to school as she returned back for her first day since being diagnosed with AML. The smile on her face was enough to make anyones day!

On Wednesday morning, Windham Firefighter's helped Natalies family with closing their pool for the winter.

Natalie, an 8-year-old Windham resident who had been diagnosed with AML, wished to have a pool in her back yard which was made possible by so many volunteers. She was able to enjoy this with her family and friends.

Preparations are under way for Windham Fire Department’s 2026 Open House. It’s gonna be a good weather day!! Come on by today from 10am-2pm for lots of fun!!

This afternoon just before 2:00pm, Windham Fire and Police were dispatched to Roulston Road at the Rail Trail Crossing for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist.

On arrival, EMS found a female bicyclist on the ground who was conscious, alert, and wearing a helmet. It appeared that the bicyclist was headed north on the Rail Trail and as she attempted to cross Roulston Road, a vehicle driven by a lone female struck the bicyclist.

The bicyclist suffered an ankle injury. She was treated at the scene and transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry. The operator of the vehicle was uninjured.

Windham Police Department is currently investigating the incident

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Windham Firefighters are doing everything they can to raise awareness about this deadly disease. Throughout October, Windham Firefighters will be wearing Pink T-Shirts while on duty.

Firefighters know all too well about the trauma and the challenges of cancer diagnosis and as such, we remain committed to fighting against occupational cancers within the fire service and join the global fight to prevent and cure breast cancer.
