GiGi's Playhouse Executive Director John Claes joined Community Difference Makers podcast host Emily Abbas, along with ChildServe President and CEO Dr. Teri Wahligate and Kate Bennett of United Way of Central Iowa to discuss disability services, health, education and equity in Central Iowa. 💜

The conversation focused on how we can create a more inclusive community where people of all abilities can participate, contribute and succeed.

The podcast dropped earlier this month, which was welcome timing with October being Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Our thanks to Bankers Trust Company for sponsoring this event and for including us!

The 2026 GiGi's Playhouse Trunk or Treat is the the books, and what an epic best-seller it was! The weather was perfect, the trunks brought the fun (and the treats!), and our families had a great time.

There's nothing like bringing our community together, and we thank everyone who volunteered and joined in on the fun!
