🚒 FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE 💧

To the Residents of Windsor :

The Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant flushing. This is necessary to ensure our Fire hydrants and water distribution system remain in proper working order and ready for emergency use.

During this process, residents may notice:

Cloudy or milky-looking water – This is typically caused by air being introduced into the water lines and should dissipate on its own after the water has been allowed to run.

Discolored or rust-colored water – Hydrant flushing can temporarily disturb sediment and naturally occurring minerals in the water mains. If you experience discolored or rust-colored water, please run the cold water for approximately 5 minutes before using it. The water should return to its normal appearance.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important maintenance is being performed.
